This is ikat as it was meant to be: those feathered edges aren’t printed imprecision, they’re the visual signature of threads that were bound and dyed before they ever met a loom. Every blurred margin is evidence of process, of hands, of the particular alchemy that happens when pigment meets resistance. China Seas has been hand-printing this pattern for decades because some things cannot be improved, only understood.
