I am Dreamers, and I was not named by committee. Lulu de Kwiatkowski named me, and she knows the difference between a pattern that decorates and a pattern that does something. What I do is this: I move. Not literally I am fabric, not cinema – but the metallic gold catches light at angles a flat-ground linen has no right to catch, and the butterflies I carry have been mid-flight since the day I came off the screen.
Blues, plural, because one blue is a decision and multiple blues are a sky. Tinted linen-cotton because the ground matters – a cold white would have made me clinical, and I am not clinical. I am whatever you’re thinking about just before you fall asleep.
